I have been diagnosed with breast cancer three times since 2018 – I really never expected this. Such a diagnosis brings enormous challenges, both physically and mentally. But I have found a very special way to deal with it: art.

Whether it was painting, crocheting or creative design, it all helped me to organise my thoughts, live in the moment and not lose myself in worrying about the future. Even difficult times like chemotherapy were easier to deal with – with hope, inner strength and a smile.

That’s why it’s so important to me to give other people the creative refuge that gave me so much strength. At ToWHom, we want to use a portion of our sales to create art kits and donate them to a hospital in Munich where people with breast cancer are treated. A small contribution – but with a lot of love and empathy – to accompany them on their healing journey.

There is a beautiful word in Spanish:«artesana». It describes people who create with their hands – but for me it means more. It combines arte (art) and sanar (to heal). And that is our vision: art that helps heal.
